Windows installers

Windows offers two interface versions of the same client. The Desktop version uses a newer cross-platform UI, while Classic WPF retains the traditional Windows desktop interface. Choose the one that best fits your preferences. After launching it for the first time, you'll still need to import your own server configuration or subscription URL; the installer does not include connection settings.

v2rayN is a desktop GUI client for managing subscriptions, servers, and routing settings. Both files below are for x64 Windows; their main difference is the interface implementation. They are alternatives, not components you need to install in sequence. Choose the version that suits your device, extract the archive or run the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Both files are x64 versions. Before updating an existing installation, note where your subscriptions and custom settings are stored so you don't mistake old configuration for content created by a fresh install.

What to do after downloading

The installer provides the client app. Set up your subscription, server details, and routing preferences separately after installation.

    Import your configuration

    Add an existing URL in the client's subscription settings, or enter server details manually. A subscription URL and an individual server link use different import options. If the list is empty, confirm which type of configuration you have and check that you've refreshed it.

    Choose a connection mode

    After selecting a server, choose system proxy, rule-based routing, or another suitable mode based on how you plan to use the connection. System proxy mainly affects apps that honor system proxy settings. To handle more traffic, review the permissions and routing details for the relevant mode first.

    Check the connection

    Check the current server shown in the client, system proxy status, and the target app's proxy settings, then try to access the intended resource. If only one app can't connect, check whether it uses the system proxy before downloading a different installer.

Which Windows version should I choose: Desktop or Classic WPF?

The Desktop version uses a newer cross-platform interface; Classic WPF retains the traditional Windows desktop interface. Both are v2rayN. Choose and install the version with the interface you prefer—there's no need to install both.

If you're familiar with the WPF workflow, stick with the Classic version. If you want a similar interface across desktop operating systems, choose Desktop. Switching versions doesn't import your subscription; note where your current settings are stored before changing versions.

Which macOS installer should I download: Apple Silicon or Intel?

Open About This Mac from the Apple menu and check the Chip or Processor field. Choose Apple Silicon if it shows an Apple chip, or Intel if it shows an Intel processor.

Don't guess the processor based on your Mac's appearance or purchase date. If the installer doesn't match your device's architecture, return to the macOS downloads and choose the DMG for the other architecture.

What's the difference between the Android arm64 and Universal versions?

The arm64 package is for 64-bit ARM devices and is a good first choice for most Android phones released since 2015. If you don't know your device's architecture or see an architecture mismatch error during installation, choose the Universal version instead.

Architecture only determines whether the app can install and run on your device; it doesn't provide server settings. After installation, import a subscription or add a server manually in the client you chose.

Which Linux package should I choose: deb or rpm?

Choose deb for distributions such as Debian and Ubuntu, and rpm for Fedora and RHEL-based distributions. Also check whether your device uses x64 or arm64, and download the matching package.

Package format and processor architecture are separate requirements. Choosing deb or rpm correctly but selecting x64 instead of arm64, or vice versa, can still prevent installation. If you see a dependency warning, follow your distribution's package management instructions first.

How do I get started after installing a client?

Get a working server configuration or subscription URL, import it into the client, and select a server. Then configure the system proxy or connection mode you need. For detailed instructions and connection checks, see our Getting Started guide.

If the app launches but the target app can't connect as expected, check the current server, subscription update status, and proxy mode first. Downloading an installer for a different architecture usually won't fix configuration or routing issues.
